This plate has a ring to it

GMDE

Greg Ring doesn't make it easy to take a photo of his license plates. He covers the plates with some sort of protective devise. It really causes a glare when you take a photo with a flash. Greg ought to know better. GMDE stands for Greg, Mary, Don and Ethan Ring.

A Country Boy Reflects on Water

I grew up on a farm in good country. A creek ran through the southwestern corner of it. A creek is a natural waterway larger than a run but smaller than a river. In romantic lore, poets have celebrated the rivers of the earth - the Rhine and Danube, the Volga and Don, the Tigris and Euphrates. In Allen and Putnam counties it's the Riley, the Blanchard, the Auglaize and Ottawa of which natives speak. So close to home, those small waters seldom rise to the level of romance.

Collegiate Employ-Net Live Job Fair March 26

The Collegiate Employ-Net Live Job Fair will be held on Friday, March 26, at Owens Community College in Toledo, according to Kathy Dickson, director of career development at Bluffton University and member of the consortium.

The December Bluffton Middle School students of the month were recently named. Click here to view their photos. They are:

6th Grade
Patrick Rhonemus son of Mike and Tenna Rhonemus, Bluffton.
Patrick is a member of the BMS band, choir and quiz bowl team. He plays baseball and in his spare time he likes to play video games, hang out with his friends, and have Nerf wars with his friends

Elementary Bakery Bingo Feb. 6

The Bluffton Elementary PTO will hold a Bakery Bingo in the Middle School cafetorium from 6 to 8 p.m., on Saturday, Feb. 6.

The evening includes playing Bingo to win baked goods, selling raffle tickets for a variety of different prize packages and selling concessions. It will be a great family event and is open to the public.
