Weekend Doctor: Wellness exams for children

For parents in today’s world, there are numerous daily tasks to juggle, from going to work to preparing meals and driving kids to and from practices. Sometimes, if we do not have any concerns as parents about our child’s development, we may not realize the importance of making time for their well-child exams.

The Cory-Rawson Local School District is accepting applications from those interested in attending through open enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year.
Students living in any Ohio school district may apply and enroll at Cory-Rawson tuition-free.

Ricks' bonus tip: Don’t punt decisions

During Bluffton University’s Jan. 23 Presidential Leadership Forum, “See Your Way Clear: Leading Through Chaos,” Bethny Ricks ’06, a business executive, author and Bluffton trustee, shared five leadership qualities and two traps to avoid as an effective and empathetic leader. She began the presentation with a few encouraging words to the mostly student audience in Yoder Recital Hall.

Pirate girls basketball loss, Lancers pull away in 4th

BLUFFTON__The Bluffton High School girls basketball team lost a close 47-40 battle to visiting Northwest Conference foe Lincolnview Thursday evening.

The Lancers outscored the Pirates 13-5 in the fourth period to pull off the road victory.

Indoor Farmers Market debuts at Bluffton Senior Center

On Saturday, January 27, the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce will bring a pop up Farmers Market to the Bluffton Senior Center, 132 N. Main St. The vendor lineup includes Probst Family Farm, The Bluffton Baking Co., The Noble Goose Bakehouse, Kathleen’s Kitchen, Bent Nail Bakery, Quarry Farm, Firm Roots Farm, My Own Backyard Herbs, Taste Tempters, Sweet Dream Gourmet, Robins in the Kitchen, Feel The Burn Hot Sauce, Wild Vine Farm, Old Homestead Soaps and Lotions and Connie Diller's home grown nuts. Market hours are 8:30 a.m.-noon.
