Bluffton's winter landscape

The winter landscape offers its own natural beauty. Here is a lemon garlic herb flower remaining from last summer.

Thousand Mountain Jasmine featured tea at The Inn at ONU Jan. 13

Gather your friends and family and warm up your winter afternoons with a tea celebration. The Inn at Ohio Northern University offers Thursday Tea at the Inn every Thursday afternoon from 3:30 p.m. to 5p.m. at The Inn.

The next Thursday Tea at the Inn is Jan. 13. Featured tea is Thousand Mountain Jasmine paired with Spiced Carrot Cake, in addition to a selection of chef's tea sandwiches, scones, pastries, tarts and petite fours. Champagne is also available.

Gregg Luginbuhl art work reviewed in BioLogos Forum blog

Beginnings

Gregg Luginbuhl, Bluffton artist, recently had one of his works featured in BioLogos website, which focuses on science and faith in dialogue. Mark Sprinkle is the blog writer and he reviewed Luginbuhl's "Creation Series (1989-90)", Polychrome Raku-fired pottery. The art is a permanent display in Yoder Recital Hall on the Bluffton University campus.

Spencerville pulls out win in 4th period

Spencerville girls defeated Bluffton 45-30 in Northwest Conference basketball action on Jan. 6. The game, played at BHS, was close until Spencerville pulled away in the final period.

Lil' Pirates basketball skills sessions underway

All 3rd through 6th grade boys interested in basketball can attend Lil' Pirates skills on Saturday mornings from 9-10 a.m. at the high school gym.

Skills, games and competitions will be held with Bluffton High School boys' head coach, Todd Boblitt, staff and high school players.

Sessions are every Saturday through February except Jan. 15 and Jan. 29 due to scheduling conflicts. If you have any questions, contact Boblitt at 419-358-4206.

Ebenezer Mennonite hosts 13-week Financial Peace University series

Ebenezer Mennonite Church is offering an opportunity to begin 2011 with a fresh resolve on person's financial lives.

Beginning on Sunday night, Jan. 16, and on Wednesday night, Jan. 19, the church will offer the 13-week program, Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University.
