Second half surge leads #4 Washington (Mo.) to 71-59 win

The Bluffton University women's basketball was defeated by defending Division III champion and #4 ranked Washington University of St. Louis on Thursday, December 30, in the consolation game of the Hoops for Hope Tournament at Ohio Wesleyan University. Bluffton dropped to 4-7 overall, while Washington (Mo.) improved to 9-2 for the 2010-11 season.

Beavers capture title in 13th McDonald's of Bluffton Tournament

Bluffton University played in the championship game of the 2010 McDonald's Holiday Tournament on Thursday, December 30, against Westminster College. The Beavers used a 32-7 jag starting at the 9:49 mark of the second stanza to post a convincing 80-60 victory. The win pushes the Beavers to 8-3 while the Titans fell to 3-9.

New Year's Eve this year will once again find the residents of Mennonite Memorial Home in Bluffton enjoying the long-standing tradition of New Year's serenading, beginning at 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 31.
