Matt Wood named EVP/Chief Lending Officer for Citizens National Bank

Citizens National Bank (CNB) has promoted Matt Wood to Executive Vice President/Chief Lending Officer for the bank. In this role Matt will oversee profitability of the bank’s lending portfolio, including commercial, agriculture and retail.

The Riley Creek Singers will present the musical My Fair Lady at the Pandora-Gilboa School Auditeria on August 9 and 10  at 8:00 p.m. and on August 11 at 2:00 p.m.

RESCHEDULED National Night Out celebration, now August 7

Aug. 6 update from Bluffton Police Department on National Night Out: With the possibility of severe weather this evening and windy conditions that will not allow fireworks to be safely displayed, National Night Out events will be postponed until August 7 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. with fireworks at 9:30 p.m. Things may look a little different as a result. We hope to see you Wednesday!

Dorothy E.  Lugibihl was a waitress at Ingalls Restaurant

Dorothy E.  Lugibihl, 89, passed away August 3, 2024, at St. Rita's Medical Center.

Bassitt to run again in Olympics Repechage Round, August 6

In the wee hours of the morning on August 5, Bluffton native Trevor Bassitt competed in his first Olympic games and the first Olympic games for any Bluffton athlete. He placed fifth in Heat 2 of the men’s 400m hurdles at the Stade de France.
