Special library board meeting March 2

A special meeting will be held by the Bluffton Public Library Board of Trustees at the library on Tuesday, March 2 at 6:30 p.m. to discuss a technology grant.

After 30 years, Mark Bourassa has an Olympic-sized collection

One of the more prominent items in Mark Bourassa's office is a framed poster announcing the 1986 Olympics in Amsterdam. If you're an Olympics historian, you might remember that Amsterdam lost the bid for those games to Barcelona, making the "bid poster" something of a collectible.

Sarah Diller university voice recital March 4

Bluffton University students Sarah Diller (Bluffton), soprano, and Brandon Fullenkamp (Wapakoneta), piano, will perform a junior recital at 8 p.m. Thursday, March 4, in Yoder Recital Hall. The performance is free and open to the public. A reception will follow in the lobby.

Several days ago, gamers all over the world cried out in anguish at the news that the Playstation Portable release of Shiny Entertainment's classic platformer Earthworm Jim had been canceled. I don't know how this will affect the downloadable XBLA, PSN, and Wiiware releases, but I'm guessing the news isn't good on those fronts either.
