Emmanuel UCC fish fry March 12

Emmanuel United Church of Christ will hold its annual spring fish fry. The event is from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday, March 12 at the church. The church is located at 8375 Phillips Road, Bluffton. Meals are $7 for adults and $3.50 for children.

Senior Citizen-Lions pancake breakfast March 6

All the pancakes you can eat.

The 28th annual Bluffton Senior Citizens and Bluffton Lions Club pancake and sausage benefit is Saturday, March 6, at the Senior Center, 132 N. Main St.

The event is from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. and includes all the pancakes you can eat, whole hog sausage, coffee, tea, juice or milk and applesauce.

MMH women's service group soup-sandwich super March 8

The 9th annual soup and sandwich supper hosted by the Mennonite Memorial Home women's service group is in early March. The event is from 4 to 6:30 p.m., Monday, March 8, at the Home. It offers a take-out or dine-in option.

There will be serving three soups; ham and bean, chicken noodle vegetable and broccoli cheese soup. Also served will be sloppyjoes, hot dogs, and pulled pork sandwiches, cornbread muffins and a selection of desserts.

"The cost for the dinner is on a donation basis. If you have any questions please call 419-358-1015," said Julie Stratton.

My sister-in-law recently commented on her blog that her life must seem boring to those who read about it. I think she's dead wrong. If only she knew how often I read her blog not just because she's my beloved sister-in-law, but because I need to be entertained. Not a blog goes by that doesn't get at least one laugh or "awwwwwwwww" out of me.
