How to donate home baked goods for PTO sale

The Bluffton PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) is bringing back the Bake Sale to the Elementary Open House from 6:00-7:00 p.m. on September 26.

The organization is seeking baked goods donations for the sale. To participate, drop off baked goods to the school anytime on Monday.

All proceeds go directly to Bluffton PTO.

And be sure to stop by the bake sale in the gym to purchase some delicious treats.

BHS boys soccer 2-0 victory over Allen East

Nolan Hoffman nets both Pirate goals

The Bluffton High School boys soccer squad shut out local rival Allen East 2-0 in a Northwest Conference match Monday evening, September 19.

The Pirates improved to 5-4-1 overall and 2-0 in the NWC with their fourth straight win. The Mustangs fell to 2-5-1 and 0-3 in the NWC with the defeat.

Nolan Hoffman netted both Pirate goals unassisted to pace Bluffton to victory. Hoffman scored at the 29-minute mark, and then tallied again at 37:34 to make it 2-0 at the half.

Last week a large crew of roofers worked their magic on the steep slopes of the First United Methodist Church, 116 Church St. They had a beautiful day and evening for the job.

Blufftonite reports from Mt. Katahdin

Relations of Blufftonite Sam Crisp shared his recent report from atop Mt. Katadin in Maine, when he finished hiking the entire Appalachian Trail:

4 months, 14 states, 2194.3 miles, and 515,000 feet of elevation gain/loss.

All I have in my heart is gratitude and love for all the people who visited me along the way, family and friends that supported me from home, and every person that has sent their energy, prayers, or encouragement my way during my AT thru-hike.

The Cuts at Bluffton opens for university students

The Cuts at Bluffton, a new campus hair salon/barbershop for all hair types at Bluffton University opened on September 11.

University students may make appointments during the week for hair services which are provided from noon-6:00 p.m. on Sundays.

ACT prep classes at Bluffton High School library

  • Registration begins September 19

ACT Prep Classes through Sylvan will begin on Sunday, October 23 in the Bluffton High School Library.

The cost is $100 and the class size is limited to the first 25 students to enroll. Enrollment forms were emailed to all Junior and Sophomore parents and students on September 9. 

Registration begins Monday, September 19.
