Bluffton's women's team heads to Defiance on Wednesday

The Bluffton University women's basketball team traveled to Rose-Hulman on Saturday, February 12 to take on RHIT in Heartland Conference action. The red-hot Engineers bolted out to a 35-19 halftime lead and never looked back in securing a crucial 66-44 victory over the visitors. Rose-Hulman improved to 7-9 in the conference and 9-14 overall. Bluffton slipped to 9-14 overall and 6-10 in the HCAC.

Defiance comes to Founders Hall Wednesday night

The Bluffton University men's basketball team struggled with its shooting in a 65-55 loss at Rose-Hulman on Saturday, February 12. The Beavers dropped to 14-9 overall and 7-9 in the Heartland Conference following their fourth consecutive setback. The Engineers improved to 10-6 in the HCAC and 16-7 overall.

Bluffton jumped out to a 10-5 lead over Rose less than six minutes in before the Engineers used a 4-0 run to make the score 10-9 at the 13:19 mark.

"The Lost Girls," March 2 book discussion at Common Grounds

Do you enjoy learning about new places and cultures? Bluffton Public Library's March book discussion selection, The Lost Girls by Jennifer Baggett, will take you to four continents on "one unconventional tour around the world."

The group meets Wednesday, March 2, from noon to 1:30 p.m. at Common Grounds Coffeehouse and Caf'e in Bluffton.

Leaving a Love Legacy workshop Feb. 28 at public library

Beyond Budgeting of Bluffton will host an informal workshop, "Leaving a Love Legacy," from 6:15 to 7:45 p.m., Monday, Feb. 28, in the Richland Room of the Bluffton Public Library, according to Beth Boehr of Beyond Budgeting.

During the interactive workshop Boehr will share with participants what documents are needed and practical organizational tips so that important documents may be easily located in case of an emergency.

MMH Mobile Meals seeks volunteers

The Mennonite Memorial Home has a need for a volunteer in its Mobile Meal program.

"We deliver Mobile Meals to people in the Bluffton community. Each day the meals are delivered by a local volunteer. Currently we have a need for a volunteer on the third Monday of each month," said Mary Ann Ring, volunteer coordinator.

"The volunteering only takes about 45 miutes and starts at 11:30 a.m. If any one is interested they can contact Ring at 419-358-1015.
