Hancock Sheriff's office participates in drinking "crack down"

The Hancock County Sheriff's Office announced it will join other law enforcement agencies throughout the country in support of an intensive crackdown on impaired driving this Aug. 20-Sept. 6, known by its tagline, Drunk Driving. Over the Limit. Under Arrest.

Lt. John Clevidence said that Hancock officers will arrest everyone found "going over the limit."

School calendar available to print

Emmanuel UCC host to Thursday community meal

The Bluffton Area Ministerial Association community meals continue in August at the Bluffton Senior Citizens Center. The next meal is Thursday, Aug. 19, catered by Emmanuel United Church of Christ.The meals are free and open to the public and begin at 6 p.m. Donations are accepted. Those donations support the Bluffton Food Pantry.

Bluffton University offers great education at great price: U.S. News & World Report

Bluffton University offers "a great education at a great price among regional colleges" in the Midwest, according to U.S. News & World Report.

The 2011 edition of the magazine's Best Colleges guidebook ranks Bluffton in the top 10 of the "Great Schools, Great Prices" category, and in the top tier-placing 20th among 95 institutions-of the "Best Regional Colleges" listing.
