Life Worship Band performs Feb. 4

Bluffton University's multicultural affairs office will host Amante Lacey and The Life Worship Band in concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, in Yoder Recital Hall.

Lacey will also lead chapel at 11 a.m. in Yoder Recital Hall the same day. Amante Lacey and The Life Worship Band have a style that mixes the Christian, gospel, acoustic and rock genres and have songs like Hello, Clap your Hands, and Champion. The concert is an opportunity for the community to come together for a night of encouragement and worship.

Chamber collecting material from members for welcome packets

The Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce is collecting material from its members to create a welcome packet to new residents and for persons and businesses inquiring about the community.

Vanessa Greer of First National Bank, and Bethany Theis of Mennonite Mutual Aid Society, are serving as the welcome packets hosts.

According to Fred Steiner, chamber CEO, the packet is an additional benefit for chamber members since it is a free service to members.

Citizens National Bank - newest Icon advertiser

Citizens National Bank is the newest Bluffton Icon advertiser. It has offices in Bluffton, Elida, Lima, Van Wert, Findlay and Springfield.

Citizens offers several services. Recently it announced an improved bill payment product, provided through CheckFree, available to all its online banking customers.

The new service provides the time-saving benefit and convenience of paying all bills from one website. Additionally, several improvements will make tracking customer bill payments and finances even easier.

PRAYING FOR EARTHQUAKE VICTIMS

Sophomore Elijah Tracy, Continental, prays for Haiti during an open prayer time at Bluffton University on Jan. 15. Students, faculty and staff were encouraged to spend their lunch break praying for the victims of the earthquake.
