Blanchard Valley Hospital hosts Spirit Girls' Night Out

Blanchard Valley Hospital will host the third annual Spirit Girls' Night Out on Thursday, Oct. 21 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Findlay Village Mall, 1800 Tiffin Avenue, Findlay.

Women in attendance will hear from guest speakers about breast health, deep vein thrombosis and getting a restful night's sleep.

The event will also feature free health screenings, hair and makeup demonstrations, door prizes, shopping, product samples and healthy refreshments. A $250 makeover will also be given away.

Admission is a baby bottle, wipes, lotion or shampoo for charity.

Members of the Bluffton Garden Study Club will at 7:39 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 27, in the Patio Room at Maple Crest.

Bluffton High School students celebrate homecoming week with each day being a special event for those with style in their closets.

Monday was wear neon/tye dye day.

Tuesday is Senior Citizen (think about that one for a moment).

Wednesday: Fake an injury day.

Thursday: Camo/Jungle Day.

Friday: SPIRIT DAY (White out the "Black Pack").

Bluffton's next America Red Cross blood drive is from noon to 6 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 7, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 160 N. Spring St.
