January 2024 Bluffton Police docket

The Bluffton, Ohio Police Department has released the following Police Docket for January 2024:

Total Calls For Service – 552

Total Reportable Offenses – 10

Total Traffic Crashes – 2

Traffic Citations Issued – 3

Traffic Warnings Issued – 34

JANUARY 9

  • Officers received a fraud complaint from a Geiger Street resident.

JANUARY 13

  • Officers received a criminal damaging complaint from a West Elm Street resident.

Thorn awarded Bluffton University Presidential Scholarship

Adeline Thorn, an incoming student at Bluffton University, has been awarded the university’s full-tuition Presidential Scholarship, valued at more than $144,000 over four years.

Bluffton University campus will be closed April 8, day of total solar eclipse

Bluffton University is a host site for researchers from the University of Wyoming. For the safety of the research team and our campus community, Bluffton University will be closed to the public on April 8, 2024. Research participants from the University of Wyoming will be permitted on campus per the agreed upon schedule with university officials.

No public viewing spaces for the Total Solar Eclipse will be available. All parking lots will be closed to visitors. No camping, parking RVs or utilizing outdoor university facilities will be permitted. No public restrooms will be available on Bluffton’s campus.

P-G boys basketball takes an easy win from USV

The Pandora-Gilboa High School boys basketball team stretched their win streak to five games on February 10 when they hosted and easily defeated the Upper Scioto Valley Rams, 72-37, in non-league action.
