BFR community Halloween party Oct. 24

BFR will hold a community Halloween party from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 24, at BFR, Snider Road.

The event includes crafts and games for youth from 2 to 3:30 p.m. A costume contest will be at 3:35 p.m. Costume contest divisions are:

  • Family/team
  • Youth 0-3
  • 4-6 year olds
  • 7-10 year olds
  • 11 year olds and older

The event is open to the public with no admission charge.

Alzheimer's caregiver group meeting in Bluffton Oct. 18

The Alzheimer's Association, Northwest Ohio Chapter, invites anyone who has a family member or friend with memory loss to attend a caregiver group meeting.

A play from the Bluffton University volleyball team is part of a play of the week contest... the following is on the University's website which fully explains this. How neat would it be if Bluffton could be this week's winner. This week's voting is over on Wednesday. Bluffton's play is Play #1 on the website.

On a scale of 1 to 10, I'm ready to give Sydney close to a 10 (for a city, that is). My daughter Lee and I arrived here 6 days ago, on a lovely sunny spring day in Australia. We promptly treated ourselves to some of the most beautiful sights of this city that has one of the most beautiful harbors in the world.
