Time for some ice cream

Josiah Bergstrand, one-year-old son of Sarah and Benji Bergstrand, seems to be enjoying his plastic fork (or is it a spoon). The Icon captured this pose during the Music on the Lawn Sunday evening at the Mennonite Memorial Home. You may also check out the Bergstrands when you watch The Icon You Tube video of the event.

The Icon seeks BHS fall sports writers and photographers

Do you like Bluffton High School sports? The Icon is expanding its coverage of the community this fall by including game accounts of BHS sports.

The Icon has non-paid openings for writers in all varsity, junior varsity and junior high sports. These openings are available to parents, students or sports fans.

We'll provide you with a press pass to get into home and away games. We'll also provide some writing tips.

The Icon also welcomes action photos of any Bluffton school sports. We'll also provide you with a press pass.

Amy Roby MMH employee of the month

Amy Roby

Amy Roby is the August employee of the month at Mennonite Memorial Home. She began as a Resident Assistant at Maple Crest in September of 2008.

Amy is always willing to help in various ways outside of her normal responsibilities and comes in to work with a cheerful attitude. She also has a genuine concern for the residents. Amy, her husband, Nick, and daughter, Ella, live in Bluffton.
