2011 federal income tax filing deadline is April 18

RS Kicks Off 2011 Tax Season with Deadline Extended to April 18; Taxpayers Impacted by Recent Tax Breaks Can File Starting in Mid- to Late February

The Internal Revenue Service opened the 2011 tax filing season by announcing that taxpayers have until April 18 to file their tax returns. The IRS reminded taxpayers impacted by recent tax law changes that using e-file is the best way to ensure accurate tax returns and get faster refunds.

Mount Union official dies in bus accident on U.S. 30 following match with ONU

A Mount Union College bus carrying its college wrestling team home from a match at Ohio Northern University, Ada, resulted in the death of the Mount Union director of athletic training.

The accident occurred Tuesday evening at 11 p.m. on U.S. Route 30 near Bucyrus. Click here for details.

Dan Gorman, director of athletic training and associate professor of human performance and sport business, was fatally injured in the crash.

2011 chamber membership window stickers distributed on Friday

2012 membership sticker

Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce members will sport this bright red and white membership window sticker in their windows in 2011. The membership stickers will be handed out at the Jan. 14 chamber breakfast. Members not in attendance will have stickers mailed to them.

Traditionally the stickers were green and white. The chamber changed that color scheme in recent years. The 2010 membership sticker is blue and white.

The Hankish store was on North Main Street between Church Street and the alley north of The Sports Warehouse.
