Bet you didn't know a Bluffton High School grad, now deceased, owned four Super Bowl rings. Think hard. Hint: He's Mary Amstutz's brother...or if you still need help...he's Steve Amstutz's (a.k.a. Mr. A) uncle.
Neil Schmidt, a 1947 Bluffton High School graduate, who you could say was the greatest Bluffton athlete of his era, owned four Super Bowl rings. I know. I saw 'em.

Citizens National Bank announced the appointment of Stanley R. Clemens of Bluffton to its board of directors at the monthly meeting held on Jan. 26.
Along with the other members, he will be responsible for oversight of business development, regulatory compliance, community relations and bank profitability.
In 2008, Clemens started Clemens Construction Group, whose projects include new home construction and light commercial projects. Clemens has been selected as the contractor for the upcoming 45,000-square-foot Green House project for Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio.

Elizabeth Nisly was so touched by reports she read and saw in the days following the January 12 earthquake in Haiti that she knew she had to do something to help. But the 11-year-old Bluffton sixth grader wasn't in the position to travel to Haiti to volunteer.
So, while helping her dad wash the dishes, she asked if they could do something to raise money for the victims of the earthquake. The two narrowed their choices down to a dessert event or spaghetti dinner. The spaghetti dinner won, and Elizabeth began planning.

Bakery BINGO, a family program of the Elementary P.T.O. has been rescheduled for Saturday, Feb. 20. The event was orginally set for tonight (Feb. 6), according to Greg Denecker, Bluffton superintendent.
