Village water report is "in the mail"

The annual Consumer Confidence Report (CCR0 has been mailed to all Bluffton citizens and those who are Bluffton village water customers. The OEPA requires municipalities to send this report annually to inform the consumers about their drinking water.

"You should be receiving a copy of it in your mail soon. If you do not receive the document and would like one, additional copies are located at the Town Hall, Community Market, Library and Post Office," said Nancy Benroth, assistant village administrator.

Thelma Joyce Sharrock, 1924-2010

Thelma Joyce Sharrock, 85, of Bluffton and formerly Ada, died at 10:35 p.m., Thursday, June 10, 2010, at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton.

She was born July 27, 1924, to Raymond and Gayle (Geese) Richmond, in Orange, Ohio. On Aug. 7, 1943, she married Robert E. Sharrock. He died Sept. 7, 1988.

Mrs. Sharrock moved to Ada in 1971 where she owned and operated a craft shop "The Something Special Shop," in her home. She was a member of Ebenezer Mennonite Church and was a 50-year member of Eastern Star.

74 items in Trinity Lutheran silent auction

The Trinity Jenera Relay for Life Team will be conducting a silent auction at the Bluffton Relay for Life at Bluffton University on June 26.

The items in the auction will be on display on June 26 under the university football stadium with the bidding beginning at 1 p.m. and the closing of bids at 11 p.m. following the fireworks. Winning bidders may pick up their items at that time, but if you can not be present at the end of the bidding you will be contacted by telephone at a later time to make arrangements for pick up or delivery of the item purchased.
