Jitterbug Juliet coming to middle school stage

A hybrid Virginia-Ohio plate

This is one of the most unusual plates we've ever spotted. It is a State of Virginia plate with a strong Ohio flavor. Study it a moment; you'll see what we mean. And, in a stretch, it almost spells "Ohio."

This one is pretty unusual. It's a State of Virginia license plate, but look at all the Ohio references. "Ohio State" on the bottom; the OSU logo on the left; and in a stretch, the plate almost spells "Ohio." Study it a little and it will jump out at you.

Relay for Life kick off dinner tickets now on sale

This year's Bluffton Relay for Life kickoff dinner is Tuesday, April 20, according to Relay planners. The event is from 4 to 7 p.m. at The Centre, 601 N. Main St.

The dinner - eat in or carry out - is a 4-ounce chicken breast, barbecue pork and sides. Local groups will provide entertainment during the event. Tickets for the dinner are on sale at Greg's Pharmacy, or from Sharon Garmatter or Tracy Steele. Tickets are $5.50 each.

Reservations taken for May Day tea at Senior Center

The Bluffton Senior Citizens' Center is hosting an American Girl "May Day Tea" on Saturday, May 1, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Bluffton Senior Center, 132 N. Main St.

Anyone interested, young and old alike, are invited to bring a doll and participate in an afternoon of crafts, games and tea. Every participant is guaranteed a prize from the many drawings.

The grand prize is outfits for your doll made by Mary Ann Jordan. Plan to attend with your mom, grandma, aunts or friends. Bring your doll and your favorite teacup.
