Pandora United Methodist Church will hold a free community meal on Wednesday, March 29, from 5:30-7 p.m. in the church fellowship hall, 108 E. Washington St., Pandora. The meal this month is provided by Sprunger Insurance Co., and will include spaghetti, bread sticks, salad, cake and beverage.

A Maple Sugarin’ event will take place at Litzenberg Memorial Woods on Saturday, March 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Learn how the pioneers and Native Americans used to collect sap, transport it to the sugar bush and boil it down to produce the sweet maple syrup that we still love today.

You can also learn about sap science and sap-loving animals, and take a tour through the historic McKinnis House. A beaded key chain activity will take place in the shelter. Fruth’s Sugarhouse will be in the barn selling their maple products. The Maple Sugarin’ event is free and is open to everyone.

Project supports Community Assistance Program

Bluffton Boy Scout Troop 256 will collect food for the Bluffton Community Assistance Program's food pantry, on Saturday, March 11, according to Dr. Darrell Groman, assistant scoutmaster.

Earlier this week yellow bags were placed on doorsteps in the village.

"Please place the yellow bags with non-perishable food items on your front porch before noon on Saturday. No glass, please," he said.

If your bag is not picked up by 5 p.m., contact Scoutmaster Mike Metzger at 419-235-5654.

Through Findlay and Hancock County

The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 1 will hold a public meeting regarding the reconstruction and widening of Interstate 75 through the city of Findlay and Hancock County. Work on the project will begin this month.
 
The meeting will be held Monday, March 13, in the main ballroom at the Hilton Garden Inn, 1050 Interstate Drive West, Findlay. A presentation will begin at 5:30 p.m. with time given to questions following.
 

A mom to mom sale takes place from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, March 18, at Ebenezer Mennonite Church, 8905 Grove Road, Bluffton.

The sale is sponsored by Ebenezer Mennonite Mothers of Preschoolers. Persons attending the event may bring non-perishable food to be donated to the Bluffton Community Assistance Program’s food pantry. Admission is free.
