Except for breaking news including sports and obituaries, the Bluffton Icon will be on pause during the Presidents Day holiday, February 19. Bluffton Schools, Bluffton Public Library and Village of Bluffton offices will also be closed.
BOWLING GREEN – The Bluffton High School boys and girls swim teams competed well in the Div. II northwest district swim meet at Bowling Green State University on Friday.
Pirate sophomores Jackson Bowlus and Jenna Downey qualified for the Div. II OHSAA state meet in two events each. This event takes place at Canton on February 22-23.
ADA__The Bluffton High School wrestling team finished a strong third at the eight-team Northwest Conference wrestling championships on Saturday, February 17. The team was led by a pair of individual weight champions.
FT. JENNINGS__The Pandora-Gilboa High School boy’s basketball team remains undefeated in Putnam County League following a February 17 victory vs. Fort Jennings 64-46. With the win, P-G remains alone atop the PCL standings with one game to play.
