Mennonite Memorial Home, 410 W. Elm St., invites the public to its annual “Concert on the Lawn”, Saturday, June 27, at 6:30 p.m.
"Come and enjoy the music of the Lima Area Concert Band Come and help us celebrate Mennonite Memorial Home’s 60th anniversary," said Laura Voth, Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio CEO.
The concert will include music from the 1950’s and 1960’s in addition to some patriotic selections. Bring a lawn chair and an appetite. There will be free ice cream, popcorn and beverages along with the fellowship of family and friends.
Former Bluffton residents Jerry and Leonor Kennell, now North American ambassadors to SEMILLA, the Latin American Anabaptist Seminary, will speak at 7 p.m. Monday, June 15 at First Mennonite Church, 101 S. Jackson St.
All are welcome to visit with the Kennells and learn more about SEMILLA, including information about their unique joint programming relationship with Bluffton University, as well as an upcoming Guatemala learning tour.

First Mennonite Church will commission Shannon Thiebeau as their Director of Youth Ministry during the 10:30 a.m. worship service on Sunday, June 14. Theibeau, a native of St. Marys, is a 2015 graduate of Bluffton University, where she majored in religion with a concentration in youth ministry.
Dr. Alex Sider will be the guest preacher during Sunday's service. Sider is an Associate Professor of Religion, the Harry and Jean Yoder Scholar in Bible and Religion Director of Peace and Conflict Studies at Bluffton University.

The Pandora United Methodist Church will be host a free community meal on Wednesday, June 24, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. In the church fellowship hall, 108 E. Washington St., Pandora.
The meal this month is provided by the Mission Committee and is shredded chicken sandwich, relishes, applesauce, baked beans, dessert and beverage.
