A portion of Bluffton's municipal parking lot will be closed on Thursday, Sept. 10, while workers apply a sealer to the asphalt, according to Jesse Blackburn of the village. Persons with questions may contact him at 419-358-2066, extension 102.

RED - On the map, the red portion of the parking lot will be closed at 7 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 10. That portion will remain closed until Friday, Sept. 11.

The two Informational seminars scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 10, regarding Generous Living, Tools for Giving are cancelled.

Matthew Spallinger, a 2013 graduate of Bluffton High School and a 2015 graduate of the University of  Rio Grande, took first place for his Highboy Dresser in the Case Goods category in the Association of Woodworking Furnishings & Suppliers (AWFS) Fresh Wood competition for North American students considering a career in woodworking held in Las Vegas.

Ada sports fans are dumping Bronco jerseys. They briefly traded those for Bears' jerseys. Now they are wearing Houston Texan jerseys.

As of Sept. 6, former Ada High School football standout Zac Dysert is now a Houston Texan.

The Texans signed Dysert to their practice squad one day after placing quarterback Tom Savage on injured reserve with a severely sprained shoulder.

Dysert was cut by the Broncos during the preseason when he was beaten out by rookie Trevor Siemian and was briefly with the Chicago Bears.

The Bluffton community’s 12th annual Fall Festival, with many family-oriented activities, takes place throughout the community on Saturday, Sept. 26, according to Daren Lee of Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio, who coordinates the festival.

Events take place at Maple Crest Senior Living Village, Mennonite Memorial Home, downtown Bluffton, at the Swiss Community Historical Society homestead on Bixel Road, Bluffton Family Recreation and Bluffton Public Library.
