The August Bluffton elementary school newsletter is now on the school website. Here is the back-to-school information from the newsletter.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES:  The school supply list is posted on the school website. Kindergarten student supplies will be furnished in their classrooms. 

MEET THE TEACHER:  We will hold our “Meet the Teacher” on Friday, Aug. 28, from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. in the elementary school. 

Theory Expats will perform in tonight's (Thursday, Aug. 20) Town Hall Concert Series. The performance is at 7 p.m. on the third floor, according to Wendy Chappell-Dick.

The Mount Cory and Pleasant View UM Churches will begin a new program
beginning Wednesday, Sept. 2, called "Worship on Wednesdays" (WOW.)  The program and bible study will be available for people of all ages.

The bible study will use Max Lucado and Randy Frazee's book "The Story,"
which is a study of the whole Bible from Genesis to Revelation in story form.  WOW is open to the public and will be held at 7 p.m. at the Bethel Family Life Center, 201 W.
Washington St., Mount Cory.

Bluffton's Aaron Belcher was medalist, firing a 37, in a quad-match. Following the match the competiting teams had the following records.

Ada 1-3 overall 1-2 league
Allen East 2-1 overall 2-0 League
Bluffton 0-6 overall 0-3 league
Lincolnview 6-0 overall 3-0 league

David John Hooley, 64, died Aug. 18, 2015 at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay, after a year's illness resulting from a brain tumor. 

David was born June 28, 1951, in Massillon, Ohio, to Clarence and Nettie (Classen) Hooley who preceded him in death. On April 14, 1990, he married Jane Myers Hooley who survives.
