The 2014 All-Star Volleyball Match for District 8 seniors will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12 at Van Wert High School. Admission is $2 for adults $1 for students.

There will be one match of three games between the players of the two divisions.  Those schools represented include Division I/II/III East (Coaches:  Bluffton, OG):
Bluffton, Columbus Grove, Findlay, Liberty Benton, Lima Central Catholic, Ottawa-Glandorf, Shawnee; Division I/II/III West (Coaches:  Elida, Wapak), Celina, Coldwater, Defiance, Elida, Fort Recovery, Parkway, St. Marys, Van Wert, Wapakoneta

Gluten Free & Food Allergy Support Group will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, at the Bluffton Public Library. The guest speaker is Jordan Mattice from JK Juices. Jordan and her business partners make and sell the fresh juices at the Bluffton Farmers Market.

Jordan will be talking about the different types of juicers, hintsand tips
for picking the best fruits and veggies for juicing, and how JK started
their business.

Local Bluffton Boy Scout Troop #256 will in have a scare station at
the Halloween Spooktakular scheduled from 5:30-9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25 at Camp Berry, near Findlay. Participants can walk the trails and visit scare stations designed by Boy Scout troops and Venture Crews. All participants will be allowed to choose from colored glow necklaces: red-no scare, yellow - medium scare, green - scare a lot.

Victoria Myers, a senior from New Franklin, Ohio, is Bluffton University’s third recipient of a full scholarship to Bowling Green State University’s master of accountancy program.

Myers has earned the Beaver-Falcon MAcc Scholarship, a Bluffton-Bowling Green partnership that includes a full-tuition award plus a paid graduate assistantship for a Bluffton accounting graduate.

BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Beavers came out firing on all cylinders against visiting Manchester University in tonight's mid-week Heartland Conference match. From the beginning to the end of the match, Bluffton controlled the action, downing Manchester in three quick sets (25-14, 25-15, 25-13). The Beavers improved to 18-8 overall and 5-2 in the Heartland Conference, while Manchester slipped to 5-20 and 1-6 in the HCAC.

DEFIANCE, Ohio - The Bluffton University men’s soccer team made the short trip north to face arch-rival Defiance College on Wednesday, Oct. 22. The Beavers dropped the hard-fought rivalry game, 1-0. The loss puts Bluffton in a tough spot, falling to 2-4 in the HCAC (5-11 overall), while it catapults the Yellow Jackets into a tie for the pivotal fourth spot in the Heartland Conference standings at 3-2-1 and 5-10-2 overall.
