BLUFFTON, Ohio - Bluffton University sophomore MacKenzie McFarlin (Ashland) was recently named the Heartland Collegiate Player of the Week on offense for her work at the Sommer Center Spiketacular over the weekend.
She led Bluffton to a 4-0 start while winning the Sommer Center Spiketacular. The standout outside hitter blistered the ball with a conference-best 56 kills (4.00/set) and just 15 errors for a .301 hitting percentage. McFarlin added seven service aces, 24 digs and two block assists for a total of 64 points.
Fall classes are forming now for “Music Together, The Joy of Family Music,” a program of music and movement classes for infants, toddlers, preschoolers and kindergartners, according to Laura Hartzler.
Fall classes include 10 weeks of classes that take place at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesdays from Sept. 30 through Dec. 2. Classes are held in the basement of First Mennonite Church, 101 S. Jackson St., Bluffton.
The next Sunday buffet at Maple Crest Senior Living, Bluffton, is September 14, according to Daren Lee, director of Maple Crest. The menu includes:
• Stuffed Chicken Marsala
• Beef and Noodles
• Mashed Potatoes and Gravy
• Green Beans with Almonds
• Dinner Rolls
• Mixed Berry Pie
• Coffee and iced tea
The buffet is in the Patio Room at Maple Crest from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is open to all adults 55 and older at a cost of $7.50 per person.
