What do a python (named Neo), a chinchilla (Parcours) and an elongated tortoise (Felix) have in common?  

They were all the live part of an “Endangered Species” program by Nicole of the Toledo Zoo, for the Maple Crest men’s banquet on June 19.

Mary Margaret Arthur, 87, died at 1:45 p.m. June 20, 2014, at Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora. She was born April 10, 1927, in Lima to the late Raymond and LaDonna (Williams) Zimmerman. On Dec. 21, 1947, she married Melvyn C. Arthur and he died June 12, 2014.

Mrs. Arthur was a retired teacher. She taught at Beaverdam, Moulton and Pandora-Gilboa schools. She had also worked at City Loan in Lima.  She graduated from Beaverdam High School and Ohio Northern University.

I want to thank all the persons who entertained us at the 2014 Relay for Life. The persons who met teach month through out the year deserve a huge praise. Linda Best, Jerry, John,Kathy and Don, Diiane, Nick, Sherry, Sheree Joan Chase Bank, and Carol. Thank you seems so small but you are angels on earth!

It is anticipated that over $20,000 will be donated to the American Cancer Society as a result of this year's Bluffton Area Relay for Life. Here participants work the track at Bluffton University.

The rainy weather skirted Bluffton on Friday, June 20, allowing the local Relay for Life event to be held at the university stadium.  While the final amount raised will not be formally announced for several weeks, it is anticipated that over $20,000 will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
