1992

What are you doing presently? 
I went to Miami University. After college, I moved to Paris, France for a year.  While I was there, I met a Marine who was stationed at the American Embassy.  He wanted to get married, but he was on his way to posts in Syria and South Africa and I went home to go to law school at Ohio State. 

Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs recently held its 2013 reorganization meeting and elected officers for 2013-14.

Board officers elected are Brendon Matthews, president; Dick McGarrity, vice president; Ryan Lowry, secretary and Dave Steiner, treasurer.

Board members whose terms were renewed are Laura Voth, Dick McGarrity, Dave Steiner and George Lehman.

Two new board members joined the board. They are Katie Keifer and Dennis Gallant.

Other board members are Mitch Kingsley, Steve Ritter, Hans Houshower, Jeff Sprague and Cameron Warner.

Carol A. Bogart , 77 died Sept. 22, 2013 at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.  She was born Oct. 25, 1935, in Delphos to the late Cloyd and Naomi (Krugh) Best. On July 25, 1955 she married Gene Bogart and he died Oct. 1, 2000.

She retired from the business office at Bluffton Hospital. She was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ, Bluffton. She was a 1953 graduate of Delphos St. John’s.

The winner of Week 4 of The Icon Football Contest is Adelyn Althaus. Adelyn and David Glick both correctly picked 14 games this week. They both predicted the same tie-breakers as well. Adelyn was declared the winner because her picks were entered first.

Bluffton University will host an exhibition of ceramic sculpture by award-winning 1956 graduate Jack Earl, beginning Sept. 30 in the Grace Albrecht Gallery of the Sauder Visual Arts Center.

The exhibit is free and open to the public through Oct. 27; gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and 1-5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. A reception will be held for Earl from 9:30-11 a.m. on Homecoming Saturday, Oct. 12—the day after the artist receives this year’s Professional Achievement Award at Bluffton’s Alumni Awards banquet.
