"The Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer," a 1947 movie featuring Cary Grant, will be shown at the Bluffton Public Library at 1 p.m., Thursday, March 7. It is part of a three-part Cary Grant movie series offered this spring at the library.
The movie features Grant, Myrna Loy, Shirey Temple and Rudy Vallee.
The second and third movie dates are April 4 and May 2. Those movies are "My Favorite Wife," and "Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House."
The Friends of the Bluffton Public Library will host their fifth annual Spring Tea at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, in the library’s Richland Room. A light meal of homemade foods that are traditionally offered at formal teas will be served prior to a program by Don Bruns.
A former comedian, songster, and entertainer turned novelist, Bruns will bring his wit, guitar, and writer’s stories to the library. His eleventh novel, Hot Stuff, was released in December.
Tickets remain on sale for Saturday's performance of "Driving Miss Daisy," a Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce fundsraiser for Main Street banners. Tickets are $10 each and are available at the Bluffton Senior Citizens Center, Greg's Pharmacy and Village Cut 'n' Curl.
