AEP Ohio, a unit of American Electric Power (NYSE: AEP), filed its Electric Security Plan (ESP) tariffs with the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO). The tariffs show rate increases approved by the Commission on a total bill basis that include generation, distribution and transmission charges.

"We are looking for Bluffton people favorite recipes. Bluffton Relay For Life is getting ready to make its second cookbook and we need recipes," Lynda Best told The Icon.

Rhythm in Motion Dance Centre, North Main Street, Ada, will celebrate the week with a grand opening, according to Darcey Schneider, studio owner. The studio is an Icon advertiser.
"Don't miss out in all the fun," she told The Icon. "There will be free classes at RIMDC! Check our jam packed schedule and come visit us for a fun class taught by our qualified staff."
She added: "Giveaways, raffles, refreshments and more are planned.

An American Red Cross blood drive will take place Wednesday, Aug. 22, in Mt. Cory.
The drive is from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. and will be held in the Mt. Cory Masonic Temple, 16000 State Route 235.

Honor Flight of Northwest Ohio will be the recipient of nearly $1,500 as a result of a benefit dance held Saturday night at the Findlay Senior Center.
Night Jazz, a 21-piece Findlay area swing band, played three sets over three hours before a crowd of about 200 people at the event.
Blufftonite Alisa Diller plays trombone for the band and was featured on several solos throughout the night including her take on Tommy Dorsey's theme song "I'm Getting Sentimental Over You."

A memorial service for Carol B. Diller who died June 13, 2012 will begin at 11 am Saturday at First Mennonite Church.

Carol Barbara Diller, 97, died at 3:50 p.m. on June 13, 2012, at the Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora, surrounded by family. She was born on Dec. 24, 1914 in Riley Township to Christian and Arvilla Yoder Diller, who preceded her in death.
