Bluffton - Carol B. Diller, 97 of Bluffton died at 3:50 p.m., Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora.

Arrangements are incomplete at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services, Bluffton.

Chad Grieser, branch manager of the Bluffton Chase, invites Icon viewers to a Customer Appreciation Day at the bank at 135 S. Main St.

The event is Friday, June 15. He says there will be food, give-a-ways, raffles and other fun events.

Arthur Arnold

P. Arthur Arnold, 94, of Monroe Township, died at Richland Manor Nursing Home, Bluffton, at 11:10 p.m June 12, 2012. He was born Oct. 28, 1917 to Roy and Lilly Yant Arnold in Richland Township, Allen County. On Nov. 23, 1936 he married Erma Miller, who died Dec. 3 2009, they were married 73 years.

Mr. Arnold was a member of Pleasant View Church of the Brethren where he served as trustee, various other committees in the church and he was a deacon. Belonged to Men's Fellowship, and R.F.T.M Sunday School class.

Anne (McGinnis) Parker, Bluffton native, was recently named the 2012 Ottawa County Senior Hall of Fame recipient.

The award was given at an Ottawa County senior gathering at Camp Perry on May 9.

This 2012 Senior Hall of Fame recipient, hailing from our own island, Put-in-Bay, has been a lifetime resident of the island. She has been very active with all the activities and programs of the PIB Senior Center. She is always willing to "jump" in and to help where and whenever an extra hand is needed.
