Bluffton University's music department has announced the soloists for its 115th performance of Handel's "Messiah," at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 12, in Founders Hall. Soloists are Kristin Sims, soprano; Mary Stucky, alto; Hal Hess, tenor; and Tom Sherwood, bass.
Area businesses and organizations are invited to decorate wreaths for Bluffton Public Library's annual Holiday Wreath Festival. Wreaths may be delivered to the library beginning Monday, Nov. 29, and should be picked up between Monday, Jan. 3, 2011, and Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011.
"This is not only a great way to take part in the holiday spirit, but also an inexpensive way to advertise your organization to people who visit the library to view the wreaths," said library staff member Leslie Liberato. Guidelines for decorating the wreaths are available at the library.
The first-ever Christmas in Pandora craft show is planned for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 4, in Parsons Auto Service showroom, 920 Basinger Road.
Space is limited, so planners of the event suggest interested perrsons register as soon as possible.
A discussion of Edith Wharton's book "Summer" will take place in the family room of Maple Crest Senior Living Village on Monday, Nov. 22, at 2:30 p.m. Copies of the book are available at Bluffton Public Library.
