School board okays several contracts on Feb. 15
Several contracts and assignment approvals were part of the Feb. 15 Bluffton school board meeting.
The following substitute teacher contracts were issued at $72 per day:
Timothy Vaughn, Heather Kennedy, Meagan Kerns, John Runkle, Bethanie Adams, Amy Slimindinger, Valerie Kidd, Jennifer George, Judith Hauenstein, Nicole Morman, Danille Schmidt, Melissa Verhoff, Sarah Fortman and Meghan Mohr.
The board approved a student teaching assignment for Debra Hoy, a Bluffton University student, to work with Sandy Karhoff from Feb. 16 to May 4.
Other individual contracts were awarded to:
- Dennis Phillips, $20 an hour, C.A.T.C.H. coordinator.
- Liane Thompson was awarded a home tutoring contract at $18.35 an hour.
- Janelle Bogart was issued a long-term substitute contract at $72 per day for 20 days.
- Eric Fleharty was awarded a contract as weight room supervisor at $10.84 per hour.
- Julie Hieronimus was awarded a contract as Students for Other Students (SOS) substitute coordinator at $18.17 an hour.
- Colleen Wilson was issued a contract from March 8, 2010 to April 23, 2010, at $72 per day as ARRA IDEA Part B Resource Prep-coordinator. Her salary will be paid from ARA IDEA Part B grant funds.
- Liane Thompson was issued a contract for ARRA IDEA, the same as Wilson, only for the period Feb. 22, 2010 to April 23, 2010.
- Sam Fruchey was issued a contract at no salary as volunteer baseball coach.
