Cheri M. "Dixie Rose" Warren 1956-2012
Cheri M. "Dixie Rose" Warren, 56, died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012 at 4:23 p.m. at her residence in Kenton, Ohio.
She was born on Oct. 11, 1956 in Kenton, Ohio to Carl D. and F. Jeanne (Vermillion) Hepner who preceded her in death. She first married Keith O. Steele and they were divorced, he survives in Kenton, Ohio. She later married John A. Warren and he survives in Kenton, Ohio.
Cheri worked in sales at Harley-Davidson Motor Company, Lima. However she was best known for being a radio personality at T-102 of Lima, Ohio.
Cheri was a 1975 graduate of Ada High School and a graduate of the American School of Broadcasting in Columbus, Ohio. She was a member of the St. John's United Church of Christ in Kenton.
Also surviving are a son, Jeremiah Steele of Jacksonville, Florida; a daughter, Janelle Steele of Columbus, Ohio; two step daughters: Kelli (Jake) Blackburn and Ginna (Chad) Lewandowski both of Bluffton, Ohio; a sister, Connie (Thomas) Lehman of Ada; four step grandchildren.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 22, 2012 at St. John's United Church of Christ, 211 East Carrol Street, Kenton, with Pastor Neil D. Partington officiating. Burial will be in Thompson Cemetery, Bluffton.
Friends may call 2-7 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 21, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.
