Community leader Ropp Triplett leaves a legacy of giving to and promoting the community

Community leader William Ropp Triplett, 92, of Bluffton, died Nov. 10, 2012, of natural causes. 

Mr. Triplett leaves behind a legacy of leadership and creativity that blessed his family, friends and community.  He was instrumental in Bluffton’s recreational venues, helping small businesses succeed and his innovative Christmas displays.  He also was dedicated to the associates of the family business, The Triplett Corporation, Bluffton.

He is survived by is wife Mary Emma (Cassell) Triplett; four sons Greg (Wanda) Triplett, Bill (Lynne) Triplett, Roger (Janet) Triplett, Larry (Debbie) Triplett; one daughter Nancy (Don) Swart; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and a sister Margaret Bixler.

A brother, Morris Triplett, and a sister, Barbara Jean VanDyke, preceded him in death.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 25, at the Bluffton Presbyterian Church.  Rev. Dr. Matthew Zuehlke officiating. 

A visitation to celebrate his life will be held following the service from 3-5 p.m. at the Centre at Bluffton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bluffton Presbyterian Church, 112 N. Main St.; Bluffton Family Recreation, 215 Snider Road; or the Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurship, 505 E. Jefferson St.
