Two university students hold senior art exhibit
The Bluffton University art department will feature the original artwork of two senior students, Victoria Henkle and Ashley Martin, March 15-26. The exhibit is open to the public in the Grace Albrecht Gallery in the Sauder Visual Arts Center from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 1-5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
A reception with the artists will be from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, March 21 in the Grace Albrecht Gallery.
Victoria Henkle is from Rockford, Ohio, and graduated from Parkway High School in 2006. She has always had a passion for art, and seeks to instill that passion in others through her major of art education. Her artwork relates to her firsthand experiences, and she wants the viewers to be able to relate it to their own experiences as well.
Ashley Martin is from Kokomo, Ind. Throughout her childhood she was very interested in art, and upon attending Bluffton chose to major in art with a minor in graphic design. Much of her artwork draws inspiration from emotion that the human body and facial expression.
