Sgt. Matt Oglesbee of the Bluffton Police Department provided the Icon with the police docket for February.

Feb. 2
-Police responded to a non-injury traffic crash on NB I-75 at Mile Post 141 where a vehicle driven by Steven Mays, 60, Elida lost control  on ice and spun into the median striking the wire barrier. 

Feb. 10
-A University Student reported her vehicle was struck while parked in a University Parking Lot by an unknown person. 
-Police responded to a Cherry St. Residence where the owner reported her daughter leaving and taking her car without permission.  The vehicle and daughter were later located in Van Wert County. 

Feb. 11
-A N. Jackson St. Resident reported harassing phone calls from an overseas number trying to scam money from her.
-Police responded to a Magnolia Ln. Residence in response to unknown persons opening their cars and going through them.    

Feb. 12
- Officers were called to a Grove Rd. Residence in regards to a sick raccoon.  The raccoon was found and officers dispatched the animal due to it’s health condition. 

Feb. 15
-Police responded to a Garmatter St. residence in regards to a report of a suspicious person being in the area.  Upon arrival they located Rodney Hall, 46, Bluffton driving a vehicle from the area.  The vehicle was stopped and Mr. Hall was arrested for DUS and on an active warrant out of Putnam County.  The case for the DUS is pending in Lima Municipal Court.

Feb. 16
-Police responded to an injury traffic crash in the 10000 Block of Columbus Grove-Bluffton Rd.  Erica Sheehan, 16, Bluffton was issued a citation for Reasonable Control and the case is pending in Allen County Juvenile Court.   

Feb. 17
-Police responded to a private property traffic crash at a Commerce Ln Business.   

Feb. 20
-A S. Jackson St. resident reported that an unknown person had gained access to her personal and banking information by sending a link to her email with a “fake” information page that appeared to be a legitimate page from her bank.
-Police responded to a car/deer traffic crash in the 10000 block of Columbus Grove-Bluffton Rd. 

Feb. 22
-A Hillcrest Dr. Resident reported that her son was being unruly and was refusing to come home. 
-Police responded to a non-injury traffic crash in the 100 block of W. Elm St.  Holly Walters, 20, Carey was cited for a Reasonable Control violation after driving over the sidewalk and striking a building.  The case is pending in Bluffton Mayor’s Court.  

Feb. 26
-A S. Main St. Resident reported that her Ex-Husband had walked into a local bank and took money out of her daughter’s savings account without permission.  
-Police responded to a N. Lawn Ave. residence in response to a complaint of unknown persons throwing a rock at a vehicle and shattering the rear window.  
-Police responded to the Bluffton Hospital in response to a person that walked into the lobby and was unsure where he was or how to get home.  Officer’s assisted in locating the subjects family and he was returned to them without incident. 

Feb. 28
-Officers responded to the Triplett building in response to an alarm going off.  Upon checking the building, police located two juveniles inside the building.  They were taken into custody and released to their parents.  One of the juveniles was charged with possession of tobacco and the case is pending in Allen County Juvenile Court.
