Anna Ruth Suter 1929-2010
Anna Ruth Suter, 80, of Pandora died at 5 a.m. March 8, 2010, at Carlisle House, Bucyrus. Born May 25, 1929, in Pandora to Tillman and Rosa Suter Geiger, she married Wilmer E. Suter on Dec. 28, 1947, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 18, 1988.
Mrs. Suter was a homemaker and assisted her husband on their farm. She was a member of Grace Mennonite Church, Pandora where she had been a custodian for over 20 years. She had also served the church as a deaconess, Sunday School teacher, children's choir director and member of the Mary Martha Society. She was co-director of the community summer Bible School Program for several years. She had been a member of Farm Bureau and a graduate of Pandora High School.
Survivors include a son, Eugene (Carol) Suter of Kansas City, MO., a daughter, Rosanna (Bob) Halsey of Galion, five grandchildren, Mendy (Rusty) Sellman, Lori (Donnie) Rose, Nic (Tina) Crim, Leanne (Mark) Suter-Watters, Tracy (Kyle) Marty, two step grand children, and 13 great grandchildren.
A sister, Arvilla Esau and six brothers, Edward, Harold, Earl, Winferd, James and Merrel Dwight Geiger, preceded her in death.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 26, 2010, at Chiles-Laman Funeral Home, Bluffton. Rev. David Maurer will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Pandora.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, March 25, 2010, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital, 1900 Richmond Dr., Lexington, Ky. 40502-1204.
