If that's a Studebaker on Main Street then it must be time for Festival of Wheels

Hudsons, Edsels, Oldsmobiles, Plymouths, Studebakers, Nash Ramblers. Sounds like an automobile graveyard. Could be, and those extinct vehicles return to life one day each year in Bluffton. Friday, June 14, is the day.

Main Street Bluffton will be the scene of the 46th annual Bluffton Festival of Wheels Cruise-In. It is a program of the Bluffton Lions Club and should be a couple hundred museum pieces on wheels to Bluffton. According to Dennis Morrison, chair of the event, you'll even see some antique fire trucks and tractors.

Here’s what you need to know:
• The event is on Main Street and College Avenue from 2 to 8 p.m.
• Registration is from 2-5 p.m.
• Jeff Houston DJ ‘50s music from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m.
• Judging of cars begins at 5 p.m.
• Flag City Cloggers perform at Main and Cherry from 6:30-7 p.m.
• Trophies are awarded at 7:30 p.m.
• Cruise down Main Street begins at 8 p.m.

The Bluffton Lions Foundation will offer raffle tickets for the 2013 Charity Corvette Raffle.

This year’s Corvette is a 1995 torch red two-door coupe with 70,000 miles on it.  Raffle tickets are $2 each or three for $5. The drawing for the car is noon, Saturday, Oct. 5, at the Bluffton Farmers’ Market. Persons do not need to be present to win.
