BFR is ready to throw its non-scary Halloween party on Sunday

Get your costume ready. BFR Sports and Fitness, 215 Snider Road, Bluffton, will hold a family-oriented community Halloween party from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 20, according to Maranda P. Miller of BFR.

"This is a family event and no scary costumes are allowed," said Miller.

The event will include crafts and games from 2 to 3 p.m. and a costume contest at 3 p.m.

Costume contest categories follow:
• Family/teen category
• Age group 0 to 3
• Age group 4 to 6
• Age group 7 to 10
• Age group 11 +

Bluffton's trick-or-treat night Oct. 31

While on the subject of Halloween, Bluffton's trick-or-treat night is from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 31. Mennonite Memorial Home and Maple Crest will accept Halloweeners in their lobbies that evening.
