Check out these spring BFR classes and activities

The Late Spring Session of youth programs will begin April 19 and run for 5 weeks through May 21. Classes for youth include tiny tots and swim lessons for younger ages (6 months to age 4), plus a variety of elementary school age classes. Offered in the Spring only is Tball Fun (Mon. 3:30-4:15PM), a class designed for girls and boys ages 5 and 6 year old girls and boys, plus 7 year old girls.

Outdoor Games is new to the schedule on Thursdays, 3:30-4:30PM. Outdoor Games participants are in kindergarten through grade 4 and will include informal games of wiffle ball, kickball, interception and field hockey. A final session of Tennis (Tuesday afterschool), football (Tuesday afterschool), dodgeball (Friday afterschool) and swim lessons (Thursday evenings) are on the schedule, as well.

Kids' night out May 1
The BFR Spring Kids Fun Night is coming up soon. In conjunction with the Athletic Boosters Reverse Raffle, the event will be held from 6-11pm on Saturday, May 1. Cost is $15 per child ($10 BFR member). Cost includes games, contests, pinata and snacks/drinks. Registration is limited to the first 75 kids to register. Call 419-358-4150 to save a space. Kids Night is open to children age 4 to 12 years.

Family Open Play sessions will continue through May on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings from 11AM to noon. Open Play is held inside the BFR arena and provides a safe environment for children of all ages and parents to play. Cost is only $1 per child per visit; no registration is required.

Fitness classes

Fitness Classes will continue through the month of May. Morning classes include All Star Aerobics (Mon. and Wed.), Low Impact Aerobics (Mon.), Strength & Flexibility (Thurs.), Yoga Fit (Fri.), and Water Exercise (Mon. through Thurs.). Noon options include a self-directed Circuit in the Fitness Center (open to non-members as well as members).

Evening classes include Water Exercise (Mon.), Cardio Sculpt (Tues.), Yoga Fit (Wed.), Zumba Dance Aerobics (Thurs.). Saturday Morning Aerobic Mix continues on Saturdays at 9AM.

Attend a new class for free the first time with additional sessions costing just $5 ($3 BFR members). No registration is required for BFR fitness classes and new participants may start at any time.

Sport Training for out-of-season athletes (football, basketball, volleyball, golf, soccer, etc.) is available with The EDGE program. Youth athletes who are age 11 or older (Middle school to High School) are encouraged to try out BFR's EDGE program.

Either by individual or group appointments, EDGE participants will work on agility, strength training and sport specific exercises to improve performance. After-school and evening times are available. Contact BFR for more information.

Membership options

BFR offers monthly, 3 month, 6 month and full year membership options. BFR membership includes access to open gym and arena times, full access to the indoor track and fitness center (for those 14 years and older).
