Adam Schattschneider talks about "Woodwinds and the World Wide Web"
Dr. Adam Schattschneider, professor of music at Bluffton University, will discuss several projects he undertook during a 2012-13 sabbatical at a March 28 campus colloquium.
His presentation, “Woodwinds and the World Wide Web,” is free and open to the public beginning at 4 p.m. that Friday in Yoder Recital Hall.
Schattschneider’s main focus will be on his woodwind “doubling” (multi-instrumental) website, which he launched last summer. His master’s degree from Indiana University is in flute and saxophone, while his doctorate, also from Indiana, includes concentrations in those two instruments plus clarinet.
He will also address several performances and clinics he gave during the year, as well as a music arranging project, and travels to the Association of Performing Arts Presenters conference in New York and the Conn-Selmer Institute for music educators.
