Hiram Kohli, Jr., was part of past Swiss Day celebrations
Hiram M. "Junior", Kohli Jr., 88, of Greenville, Ohio, died Friday, Nov. 28, 2014, at Heartland of Greenville, Ohio.
He was born Oct. 11, 1926 in Pandora, Ohio, a son of the late Hiram M. and Sarah Jane (Wenger) Kohli.
Hehad previous owned Ohio Northern Egg Company in Huntington, W.V., and had served in the Army. He gave the opening Swiss invocation's for Swiss Days in Berne, Ind., and Swiss invocations Scripture reading yearly for Swiss Days and Bluffton College.
He is survived by his wife, Rosanna M. (Sprunger) Kohli whom he married on Jan. 16, 1948; sons, K. David (Jean) Kohli of Ft. Wayne, Ind., and Krey (Barbara) Kohli of Greenville; grandchildren, Dr. Marc (Lisa) Kohli, Cheryl (Phil) Ealing, Zachary (Lauren) Kohli and Josh (Veronica) Kohli; great grandchildren, Anna Ealing, Samantha Ealing. and Aubrey Ealing; and a brother, Eugene (Marcele) Kohli of Columbus.
Private services and burial at the Greenville Cemetery will be held later. The family request that memorial contributions be given to Senior Service Man in the care of John Schmidt, 1311 Sugar Maple Drive, Greenville, OH.
