BFR offers several summer programs for all ages
BFR Tball
Summer Tee Ball registration is still open at BFR. Boys who will be ages 5 or 6 and girls who will be ages 5, 6 or 7 by June 1 are welcome to register.
BFR Tee Ball will be held at the Bluffton village park on Tuesday and
Thursday nights beginning July 6 and continuing to Aug. 5. Cost per
child is $30 ($15 BFR member) and includes a team t-shirt.
Fall Intramural Soccer
Fall U6 Intramural Soccer registration is now open at BFR. Children who
will be 4 and 5 years of age as of Aug. 1, 2010 are eligible for the four- week skill development program. U6 meets Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6-7pm at the BFR. Fall outdoor soccer registrations for older children is being handled independently by the Bluffton Soccer Committee; contact Ron Koontz 419-358-1888 for more information.
Sport Conditioning
High School athletes (those completing 8th -11th grades) who wish to stay
in condition over the summer are encouraged to register for BFR's Need for Speed program in July. Need for Speed will meet on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 10-11 a.m. beginning July 5.
Each group workout will emphasize speed- explosion as well as endurance plus change of direction as well. In addition, the program will work on general conditioning of each athlete. The program will be led by Keri Hilty, BFR trainer, who has experience as a cross country coach and individual trainer. Cost for Need for Speed is $75 ($45 BFR members).
Walk to Run
Looking to improve your fitness level through walking and jogging? Try
out BFR's new Walk to Run program. The12-week program will take
individuals from walkers to runners. Walk to Run groups will meet on
Monday and Thursday mornings at 10 a.m. or 6 p.m. Warm-up, interval training of walking and jogging, and stretches will be included in each group session.
In addition, participants will receive three additional workout assignments
for each week. Cost is $50 ($25 BFR members). Call, 419-358-4150, for

Ultimate Fit
Adults looking for exercise challenges are welcome to try out the Ultimate
Fit program. Ultimate Fit is a group workout program that combines high
intensity training with dynamic warm-up and stretching. New this summer
is an adjusted schedule to just two days per week, rather than three.
Participants may choose from an early morning session on Tuesday and
Thursdays from 8:30-9:30 a.m. or an evening session on Tuesday and Thursday from 7-8PM or Monday and Wednesday nights from 7-8 p.m.. Cost per session is $40 ($25 BFR members); or $75 ($30 BFR members) for two sessions.
