Council awarded the project to Beaverdam Contracting, Inc. The firm provided the low bid on the project at $1,444,767.
"We received four bids for the interceptor project, ranging from $1,444,767 to $1,743,672," Jamie Mehaffie, village administrator, told council members.
The project is anticipated to begin near the end of the month.
Wastewater treatment plant headworks improvement project
Council awarded the project to Peterson Construction Co., Wapakoneta. The firm provided the low bid of $1,674,000. Peterson was the contractors for the most recent wastewater plant upgrade, which took place in 2002-03.
The project is anticipated to begin at the beginning of July.
"We received three bids for the WWTP Improvements ranging from $1,674,000 to $1,876,000," Mehaffie said. He added that the village has worked with both companies on previous projects and is satisfied with their work.
