Bluffton University welcomes new faculty this fall
Three new faculty members are coming to Bluffton University as assistant professors for the 2010-11 academic year.
Starr Keyes is joining the education faculty, while Amanda Sensenig and Kate Spike will be in the psychology and English departments, respectively.
Keyes is graduating from Ohio State University this month with a Ph.D. in special education and applied behavior analysis. She earned her bachelor's degree in psychology from Ohio State in 2002 and a master's degree in special education from the University of Toledo in 2005. From 2002-07, she was an elementary teacher and intervention specialist at Lake Erie Academy in Toledo.
In May, Sensenig earned her Ph.D. in cognitive psychology at Colorado State University, where she also holds a master's degree in the same field. She received her bachelor's degree in psychology from Goshen (Ind.) College in 2003.
Spike, a 1993 Bluffton graduate in English, is a Ph.D. candidate in rhetoric and composition studies at Bowling Green State University. She obtained a master's degree in English from BGSU in 1995-with an emphasis in Teaching English as a Second Language-and has directed the university's English as a Second Language program since 2005.
