April 1 Concert: Gospel Choir Spring Concert, 6 p.m., Yoder Recital Hall
April 4 Forum: Spiritual Life Week Forum, “John’s Dilemma: A Mennonite Bishop Wrestles with Doubt and Suffering in a Time of War,” Paula Snyder Belousek, pastor, Salem Mennonite Church, Elida, Ohio, 11 a.m., Yoder Recital Hall
April 4 Forum: C. Henry Smith Peace Lecture, “Conflict and Creativity: Shunning and its Legacy in Amish and Mennonite Communities,” Dr. Ann Hostetler, professor of English, Goshen College, Goshen, Ind., 11 a.m., Stutzman Lecture Hall
April 6 Artist Series: “The Other Mozart,” 7:30 p.m., Yoder Recital Hall, Individual event prices are $25 for adults, $20 for senior citizens and students, $15 for Bluffton faculty/staff, $5 for Bluffton University students. Tickets can be purchased at tickets.bluffton.edu or by mailing a check with the memo line “Artist Series: The Other Mozart”
April 7 Concert: Pops Concert 7:30 p.m., Yoder Recital Hall
April 7 Colloquium: “Activismo: Art and Dissidence in Cuba,” by Phil Sugden and Carol Elchert, 4 p.m., Stutzman Lecture Hall
April 11 Forum: Keeney Peace Lecture, “The Art of Hip Hop Religion and Culture in Civil Society,” Dr. James Logan, professor of African and African American studies and professor of religion, Earlham College, Richmond, Ind., 11 a.m., Yoder Recital Hall
April 18 Forum: Athletic Awards Forum, Mike DeCourcy, college basketball columnist, Sporting News, 11 a.m., Yoder Recital Hall
April 21 Colloquium: “A Leader Prepares,” Dr. Howard Keim, 4 p.m., Stutzman Lecture Hall
April 21-22 Lil’ Sibs Weekend: Registrants will have the option to attend for the full weekend or just Saturday. Check-in times will be 4-9 p.m. on Friday and 8 a.m.-noon on Saturday. Attendees will be able to participate in Bluffton University’s “Amazing Race”, as well as 20 games and activities and a sports tournament.
April 22 Riley Creek Festival: “Discover Bluffton”, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Sommer Center, features a Block Party in the Sommer Center parking lot, three live musical acts, inflatables, games and activities hosted by student organizations. The community is welcome.
April 23 Concert: Spring Instrumental Concert, 2:30 p.m., Yoder Recital Hall
April 25 Forum: Academic Awards Forum, 11 a.m., Yoder Recital Hall
