Bluffton's art place
This is the second part of a two-part series on the reopening of Gallery 323. Selected photos of current art for sale are at the bottom of this story.
Bluffton’s newest downtown retail store offers items shoppers will discover only in Bluffton – art by local artists.
The store, Gallery 323, originally opened ahead of the Christmas season in 2014. The idea for the business was to highlight area artists by providing them with a location to sell their work.
The gallery was long in coming and was launched by the late Gregg Luginbuhl. The gallery closed due to Luginbuhl’s illness. It was open in December this year for the Christmas season.
Then, earlier this month, the gallery reopened as Kat Luginbuhl, daughter of Gregg and Karen, became the gallery’s manager.

The gallery’s original concept, which continues with its reopening, is to offer unique art from well-know and up-and-coming regional artists, supporting artisans and retail development in Bluffton.
The varied inventory includes ceramics, sculpture, jewelry, paintings and prints by area artists.
While the list of artists continues to change, here is the list of current artists whose pieces are for sale:
