BFR gives recognition to St. Rita's for new soccer turf lead gift
For the last two years, St. Rita’s has sponsored BFR’s winter “Keeping Active” program. On Wednesday, May 10, at 3:30 p.m. the two organizations will come together again to showcase the new indoor turf at BFR.
St. Rita’s was the lead contributor for this project.
“Bluffton is one of the communities we serve, and it’s important that we work with local organizations like Bluffton Family Recreation to keep families healthy and active,” said Amy Marcum, regional VP Mission and Values Integration at St. Rita’s Health Partners.
“Part of our mission is to improve the health of the many communities we serve, and we cannot do this solely at our medical center. We are proud to extend our mssion and care beyond these walls.”
The soccer field is used for soccer games and practices, and the newly installed turf is a great addition for those using this space.
“We truly appreciate the support St. Rita’s is providing to help improve the facilities and programs we have here at Bluffton Family Recreation," said Joseph Beagle, BFR director.
"We opened the soccer field, along with a 21,000 square foot addition, in 1999. This renovation is certainly one that we are proud of, and holds true to our commitment of high quality services in a facility that is safe, self-supporting and family friendly.”
