Candidates share stories on Oct. 16
Local candidates will share their stories, and an Ohio Northern University professor will provide a briefing on Issue 2, at an upcoming meeting of Allen and Hardin for Election Action and Democracy (AHEAD), a local citizen advocacy group. The meeting is co-sponsored by the ONU College Democrats.
The meeting, open to the public, is from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, Oct. 16, in Meyer Hall of Science, Room 107, 515 W. Lincoln Ave., Ada.
Three people will discuss what it's like to run for office or manage a campaign. They are:
• Mary Drzycimski-Finn (candidate for Ada council),
• Benjamin Stahl (candidate for Bluffton council) and,
• Kerry Bush (manager for Carla Thompson's Lima city council campaign).
ONU Pharmacy Professor Ben Aronson will provide an overview of Issue 2, on November's ballot.
The meeting will begin with a potluck from 6-6:30, and then move into presentations. For more information, contact [email protected].
AHEAD is a political group composed of Allen and Hardin County residents committed to nonviolent action for democracy.
